At Beyond Metrix, we take usability and accessibility very seriously. A good usable, accessible site is a credit to your business, and a pleasure to use for your customers. It displays consistently in a wide variety of browsers, and degrades gracefully in older or less feature rich browsers.

Our site validates to W3C standards for HTML and CSS, and we have AAA WAI/WCAG accessibility.

Our site is regularly tested by our team of testers with a range of browsing methods and needs. If you find a problem with this site, please get in touch and we will rectify it straight away.

Customisation features of this site

On this site you will find colour and font customisation features. We built this mainly to show that with some thought during the design and coding stage, a site can be extremely flexible, and allow for people to set their own preferences of how they would like to view the site, colour schemes and fonts. Our testers with Dyslexia found that dark grey text on a yellow background was easier for them to read, whilst others found that a serif font was easier for them.

The customisation features require Javascript to remember preferences. Without Javascript, the preferences would not be remembered, however the preference changers still work.

Degradation in older browsers

Some of the features on this site will not work with older browsers such as Internet Explorer 6. We have coded the site to show reduced features in this browser, however the site will still work and the layout is as consistent with newer browsers as possible.
